Whtif was invited by the Norwegian Safety Forum / Skadeforebyggende forum, to talk about the Batterybox under the topic “batteries and fires”

64 days after Whtif won the Norwegian Fire Protection Association’s innovation award for 2023, the time had finally come to test the Batterybox at DBI in Denmark.We used a lipocell of 11.1 Wh, which surpasses all consumer batteries that are intended to be deposited in the Batterybox.

The Norwegian Fire Protection Association, as part of their 100th Anniversary, set up an innovation price to stimulate new thinking to prevent fires.

The waste industry believes that the government must take action against batteries ending up in the trash and starting fires.
– Batteries are a fire hazard at home in people’s kitchens too.

We are getting closer and closer to the final design of the Batterybox. The Batterybox is really put through some serious tests in a flammable kitchen environment.

Finally the Batterybox is patent pending and we can start to talk freely about it. Through our patent partner Bryn Aarflot we got valuable help and advice.
